Paul L. Kitchen

Mr. Kitchen is the founding principal of nHealth, Inc. and serves as its President and CEO. A former Naval Aviator, Mr. Kitchen also spent 20 years with the Medical Society of Virginia, serving as its Executive Vice President and CEO. His accomplishments include forming an extremely successful insurance brokerage agency and practice consulting service for Society members and overseeing the passage of significant healthcare legislation in Virginia.

Mr. Kitchen has a BS in Physics from James Madison University and is active in numerous community activities.

Mr. Kitchen and his wife Retsy have 4 children serving in the U. S. Navy, one of whom just returned from Afghanistan.

James A. Slabaugh

Mr. Slabaugh, is a co-founder of the nHealth and holds the position of Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing for the company and Secretary of its Board of Directors. He was a co-founder of Keiter, Slabaugh, Penny and Holmes, LLC, an employee benefits and human resources consulting firm in Richmond, Virginia. Prior to forming KSPH, he founded Slabaugh Group Associates, which later became Slabaugh Morgan and subsequently merged with Palmer & Cay. Prior to his entrepreneurial activities, Mr. Slabaugh worked in various capacities for Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Mercer Human Resource Consulting. He is licensed in Virginia for health and life insurance. Mr. Slabaugh has a BS in Industrial Management from Clemson University and a MBA from the University of Richmond.

Paul W. McVay

Mr. McVay, serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the company and is a member of its Board of Directors. He is currently President and CEO and member of the Board of Directors, of ACMG, Inc. Mr. McVay has 30 years experience in the field of healthcare. He held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of ACMG, now a subsidiary of nHealth, Inc. In his former position with ACMG, Mr. McVay was responsible for management and the overall operations of ACMG and its subsidiary companies. Mr. McVay has held positions as Chief Operating Officer for All Care, Inc; Vice President, Operations for Summit Health Care HMO; and, Director of Operations for Health Plus, Inc. HMO.

Charles P. Duncan, CPA

Mr. Duncan, serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the company and is a member of its Board of Directors. He has 23 years of experience in the field of healthcare management. He held the position of Chief Financial Officer of ACMG, Inc., now a subsidiary of nHealth, Inc. In this capacity Mr. Duncan was responsible for the overall financial operation and acted as CFO of ACMG’s managed care clients. Mr. Duncan has also held various management positions with All Care, Inc.; Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Indiana; Health Maintenance Plan of Indiana (a Blue Cross and Blue Shield HMO); and, Senior Accountant with Deloitte & Touche, LLP.

Frank Brian Clare, MD

Dr. Clare, is a member of the Board of Directors and serves as the company’s Medical Director. Dr. Clare has spent more than 20 years as a practicing emergency room physician and has started several successful independent physician groups. He has been actively involved on a state and regional level, as a member of the Board of Directors for Virginia College of Emergency Physicians and through his own efforts, to educate the physician community on reimbursement issues. His entrepreneur spirit led him to develop Practice Management Associates, Inc.

Tonya J. Austin

Tonya J. Austin, Director, Sales & Broker Relations has been with nHealth since June 2009. She has 20 plus years experience in the insurance industry. Ms. Austin past experience has been in sales, Investor Relations and Operations with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield (formally Trigon). She also served as a Senior Account Service Rep with United Healthcare when they started their Virginia sales office in 1997.
